This is the hero FTL (Faster Than Light) Key used on the TV series Battlestar Galactica. This prop was used as the key that activated the faster-than-light jump drives on the Galactica and other ships. It's a machined aluminum key with two plastic rods that ligth up blue when activated by little switches on the side of the key.

It was used in several seasons (and the original mini-series) by Lt. Gaeta and Starbuck.

From Season 4, Episode 6 'Faith', this time it's on the Demetrius when the crew is threatening to
mutiny and return to Galactica, which results in Gaeta being shot in the leg.

And it's final use in Season 4, Episode 20 'Daybreak'. Kara uses the FTL to jump Galactica one last
time to it's final coordinates and the crew's new home...
